Types and Materials of Window Blinds

Window blinds are used to protect rooms from getting too hot, blinds regulate temperature. Blinds also eases up our vision by allowing minimal sunlight in. There are various types of blinds like shutters, roller blinds, roman blinds and standard vertical and horizontal blinds available in the market that comes with assembly DIY kits. Window blinds are generally used in hospitals and offices. But some blinds are really stylish that they are meant to be used in homes.  

Typical blinds are made with spline of fabric, wood, plastic or metal adjusted by rotating from an open position to a closed position which allows slats to overlap. Fabric blinds are created with the mixture of silk and organza. Wooden blinds are typically made of wood and wood substitutes. There is an alternative of wooden blind, which is called faux wood blind.
